Some Fun Finds

Hello everyone!

I recently was blog hopping and saw a photo of some real cute plates that Target had just put out. I’m sorry but I didn’t remember to write down the name of the blog. :)

So I went to Target and sure enough, they had these fun polka and flowered type plates for summer! And at 99 cents ( small ones) and 1.79 ( dessert plates) for each I got eight of both kinds. They have all kinds of plates and glasses and serving items that match.

I was so disappointed in Wal-Marts summer color palett this year, it is all fall type colors.

I have the Fiesta dishes that will go with these sweet plates perfect!

I think it is OK that I am mixing ceramic and hard plastic, don’t you? I can’t wait to have some people over for dinner!

And this is what I will be doing tomorrow:

Painting my little heart out! My friend Cheri is coming over to help me get the items for the craft show going….I only have three more weeks.

Oh, and here is a look at my tags for Elizabeth at Creative Breathings “Vintage Tag Swap” I did the Pyrex Primary Color Mixing Bowls!

Bowl tag 3

Back Bowl tag 1

I can’t wait to see the other 14 tags that will be added to this set! Have a great weekend!

Sandy, when I saw those plates, I let out a little scream and my husband thought something was wrong! Thank you so much for posting about them, and I only hope they still have some when I get there! I popped over here because I just saw your Pyrex tags at Elizabeth's and I wanted to tell you how much I love them! You're so creative, and I know that everyone in the swap is going to be so thrilled to get yours!
Happy Spring!

Sandy, Sandy, Sandy...
Your tags have completely blown me away..they are so darn cute and if you lined all 14 of our tags up in a row (and I haven't even seen 10 of them)I would know yours in an instant..they ARE you to a "T"! You've done a perfect job...you've intimadated me no end now-LOL!
I love the polka dot plates (was it Elyse's Cottage blog that you saw them?) and they look super duper with your Fiesta ware. You guys must always be smiling at your place with all of those cheery colors! Have a great weekend!

There you go again posting something I just love and have those fiesta plates. You know I LOVE DOTS too. I just don't have a store like that to shop in very close but that's okay I guess.

Just wanted you to know since you are on the blog roll of CharmofTheCarolines that she has lifted (without credit) a lilly placesetting photo and wording about napkin etiquette from Miss Janice's blog, etiquettewithmissjanice.blogspot.com/

What cute summer plates. I haven't seen those yet. I loved the little pyrex tags. I have all the bowls except the green one, which broke years ago.
Blessings,
Marcia

Drats, I was at Target today and decided not to go upstairs to look at housewares (too crowded as this Target is at a mall)...now, I gotta go find these. I have other melamine polka dots from Target a few years ago but they are pastel.

Oh Sweetie...
How beautiful these are sweetie. I will be checking out our Targets tomorrow for sure. Do they not speak of "Summer"?

I wanted to send you a message, and remind you and Meri that the AZ blogger luncheon is coming this Saturday the 27th of March. I need your menu options so we can put in our order this week. We will need them before Wednesday. Are you and Meri still coming? I hope so. I so want to meet you both. You can go to my blog. The button is on the top right of my scroll bar, just click on it. The link is there for the Tea House and just email me your confirmation and what you would like to order.

Many thanks sweetie. Country hugs and much love, Sherry

Oh! I love your pyrex bowl tags! I'm with you, disappointed in Wal Mart's color scheme for summer. In the past I've gotten really cute plates that we are still using. Have a nice week! Twyla

Sandy, you lucked out with those plates! I was there this past week, and there were only two yellow and two red dotties left - of course, I scooped them up!

Love your tags - great job!
