Back in January I did a post about “One Little Word”, mine was “DO”…so again I have decided to get serious learning to drive horses.
My dear friend Dana Moore is a very accomplished horsewoman. Her passion the last few years had been learning to drive and compete Haflinger Ponies in competitions.
This is Dana, on the left Carbon and on the right Ditto. Aren’t they the prettiest ponies?????
Dana is giving me lessons with Ditto…..this is our objective:
I started this week and I am loving it, after the sun goes down it is almost pleasant ( I said almost )…it is so foreign to be behind the horse when you have ridden all your life. But I am getting there and Ditto is a very patient boy!
I find when my world starts getting too small, going out to the horses is like a shot in the arm of B12…I become renewed…..
So wish me luck….I will probably not be posting for a few days now… enjoy the rest of the photos!
This is Dana driving a pair…Ditto and his Mom Dixie…they are so right on you can hardly tell there are two of them!
Dana and Ditto doing an obstacle course…he loves going thru water!
Dana and Ditto competing in a “cone” course.
This is Dana and a friend named Marcia’s ponies after a day of showing…..
TEAM HAFLINGER
L to R Ditto, Carbon, Dillon and Dixie who is Ditto’s Mom.
Here is a site to explain what Haflingers are and what they are used for:
