Fair Winds and Following Seas my Friend…

Warren Scott Aragon passed from this world at 2:35 PM July 28th with all of his family around him, loving him and urging him heavenward…..he was 51 years of age.

When my Mom passed over 30 years ago ( how can that be?), some kind soul sent this poem to me….it has always brought me comfort…..

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads
her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch her
until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where
the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says: "There! She's gone."

Gone where? Gone from my sight--that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was
when she left my side, and just as able to bear her load
of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished
size is in me, not in her; and just at the moment when
someone at my side says, "There! She's gone,"there are
other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to
take up the glad shout, " Ahh, There she comes!"

This is it

We all spoke of what heaven will be for our beloved Scott……and decided it has to look something like this…..(with a pretty blond angel somewhere close…:) )

A better man, father, brother or friend there has never been…..his work is finally done here on this earth, this part of your journey is over Scott…..until we see your sweet face again….. be happy! We love you!

Sandy, Wayne, Bryan and Chris, Maya too.....

My sympathies on the loss of your beloved friend. The poem you wrote is one that was given to me also when my mother died 34 years ago It gave me great comfort to think of all of the angels in heaven applauding her arrival. I hope enjoyed that same welcome.

That's such a beautiful tribute to your friend Sandy. I'm so sorry for the loss that all of you are experiencing. It's so sad and difficult to let go of someone we care so much about. I'm sending up prayers for all of you.

I was so happy to see you come by and visit. Thanks for always being that caring friend. The Dr. said that he thought the pain might be Rheumatoid arthritis or Osteoporosis. After the last couple of days I've had I'm ready to ask him to send me to someone for testing but what can they do. I'm hoping I can use something over the counter to manage and as far as the CFS I hope that can be gotten over with the right foods and rest.

I'm thinking of you and praying for you to have peace over your beloved friend.

Hugs and Love ya, T:)

I am so very sorry about the loss of your friend. Our only consolation at times is knowing that they are free of pain, happy and with our Lord. When my first husband died in an accident at a very young age, someone sent me the very same poem in a card. I've kept it all these years (16 years), and the image in my mind has always been such a comfort. I could imagine all those that had gone before him, along with Jesus, standing there on the shore saying "Here he is! Here he is!".....I hope you can find comfort in the days to come. Gentle hugs from Texas....:)
