Rednesday is here again!

Hello everyone!  I want to thank everybody who stopped by and sent emails that wanted me to know they were praying for my family.  The support was wonderful and very helpful!!!  “One day at a time” seems perfect for my family right now….and so that is what we will do!

SO…..is it cool where you live, do you feel the bite in the air?  Well folks, it was 107 degrees here yesterday.  YUK !!!!!  I am so sick of heat!  But we are hopeful, it could be in the 90’s by next week! Doesn’t that sound cool?????  LOL  Fall never seems to show up in this part of Arizona until mid October, they say the latest it was over 100 degrees in Phoenix was October 23, 2003…..let’s hope we don’t break that record!

I don’t have a lot of photo of any new red items, but I forgot about this sweet little doll carrier I got at a second hand store about a year ago….found it under my table in my craft room!

IMG_2217 IMG_2218 I just love the inside!  The sweet little wallpaper with the gold starts!  I wish I had the doll that stayed in here! :)

IMG_2219 This little bar can be pushed in for closure or pulled out for getting to the dresses in the back….

A close up of the wallpaper….. the stars look silver but they are gold…

I also love this piece!  I had a hard time deciding between a red one and a yellow one….they both were so darn vintage!

But as with most items, the red won out!  It took my husband and another guy to put this together and they weren’t happy with me! LOL

IMG_2221 I have a piece of oilcloth that I would like to use to redo the seat and the back….maybe someday.

A little plain for me….but I use it all of the time!

And this is one of my shelves in my spice cupboard…..I just love all of the colors!

Hey sweetie..yeah you are blogging again!! The red trunk is precious..I had one of those when I was little.
That red booster chair..if It is like mine and is sure looks like it..Little ones when sitting on it..it tips backwards. It is so frustrating..the older ones don't tip like this one does..so just be careful with little ones on it. The fabric is awesome!!

Hugs and love..Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham

Hi Sandy~
I always have to laugh when someone shows something "vintage" on their blog and it's something I had when I was young. I had this very doll case for my "Ginny" and Madame Alexander dolls. Their dresses hung on little hangers on that bar that slid out. I don't know what happened to mine but I'm sure you love the red! I like your stepstool and oilcloth too. I always imagine your home as having a cheerful "glow" from all of the sunny colors.
I know it seems as though the sun is not shining for you right now but some how you will find the answers you seek. God will give you the strength to support you in these troubled times if you only ask and your friends will pray for that also. I hope you soon feel some peace.
In my thoughts and my heart...

A great post. I remember my Grandma having one of those great red stools...that is where we all sat for haircuts. I like the idea of covering the seat in that great oil cloth.

Blessings!

Oh, I love the red trunk! So sweet! I can just picture it filled up with handmade doll clothes! I have the same stool. My kids bought it for me to use in my classroom. I sit on it quite often to teach. The kinder-kids love it!

I think you did just great with your red collection. The dolly trunk is precious. I remember those from my childhood though I never had one. Also, did I see a Mary Engelbreit tea pot in the background of one of your photos? This was a very sweet post.
Hugs,
Genie

I have a stool like that in turquoise, straight from the 1950s in great shape that I bought for $3 at a yard sale! I love it.
