Another Fun Swap

This has been such a nice week!  I joined up with Tammy from Tammy’s in Love for a fun vintage cartoon card swap, she did such a great job with her first swap and all of the tags are just perfection!!!!  All of these cartoons were Saturday morning favorites when I was little, how about you????

 

I love seeing all of the different style, we are all so creative in our own ways….I did Mighty Mouse….

I also wanted to share with you the lovely flowers I got this weekend….I have never seen anything this big and this pretty….it looks like a daylily, but wow are they huge, and they smell really strong.  First day it is nice, from then on sadly it reminds me of a funeral home…lol

 

Just love the red, white and blues!!!!!

Oh….and my son Bryan came over yesterday and we finally found a spot behind the door for all of my paper….hated the container taking up so much of my pretty space, this is just perfect and functional…:)

And you can’t see it until after you turn around in the room….:)

Happy Anniversary to Me!

If you have been with me a while you know that 2011 was a really bad year.  The nice thing is it is all over…..one of the casualties of Wayne losing his job was my transportation.  It worked out OK until Wayne ended up with a job 35 miles away, so there wasn’t anymore dropping him off at work if I needed the car.  Since April of 2011 I have been carless ( is that a word?) lol

Wayne has been doing his due diligence on the internet and talking with a lot of sales people, and since yesterday was… 1.) the end of the month and 2.) our 33rd anniversary he left early in the morning to find me a car…..and look what he came home with!

Drum Roll please……

A brand new 2012 Chevrolet Malibu!!!!!

Here is ours…..

IIIt  is called “Mocha” and it is so pretty……my favorite thing though is the interior, Chevy has come out with beautiful combos of colors…..here it is in leather, mine is the same but cloth…..deep chocolate brown and caramel.

It is sporty, and fun to drive.  The ride is incredible, you never feel a bump!  A with a peppy 4 cylinder I get great gas mileage.

We were always told wait until the end of the month, they want to get rid of inventory, not only that but the 2013’s are out….while my husband was there they sold 6 more 2012 Malibus!  And there was more than one rebate offered also!  There was a couple waiting to see which one of the two that were left Wayne didn’t want, and they snatched up the other one.   Wayne said it was funny watching people…..

So Thank you Wayne for a beautiful 33 years and a lovely new car….I guess I’ll keep you around! :)
