Some Fun Items for Spring…

I wanted to share a few things I have gotten over the last month that just make me happy. :)

I bought these from a wonderful women whose blog I follow called Modern June.  She has a wonderful array of oilcloth products…these are going in my craft room…

Then I received an item that had been on back-order through QVC…

It is part of QVC’s “temp-tations” line, they have a whole lot of different pieces in every color imaginable…but this is the only cherry piece, so far.

I also got these from Michaels with a gift card…

I went to Wal-Mart the other day and just fell in love with these….anything Mason Jar is for me!

They had quite a few different versions, plastic, glass, different sizes and such…I saw this on Pinterest…via MISH-MASH

GREAT idea for a birthday or special occasion gift for anyone…:)

I am getting in the mood for Spring…it is beautiful here, and my flowers are so colorful!

I know most of you are so ready for spring as it brings an end to the tough winter everyone had.  But for us, spring is the last of the good weather, as summer is just too darn hot!!!!  We get cabin fever in the summertime, because even if you do not go outside, the heat just zaps you.

I also bought some Peep toys for Bailey at PetsMart….but they are already gone!  She tore them up!  lol

Peeps and Hoodles!!!!!

 

When I was growing up, these were my favorite part of my Easter basket….

You either love them or hate them there is no in between….I have collected “Peep” memoralbilia for awhile now, last year I gave a good portion away to a homeless shelter for the kids…but I had a lot of what you see in these photos.  I still have the candies in the top middle photo….

A few years ago Big Lots had all kinds of goodies in Peeps, Target did for a few years and of course the Dollar Tree….it was fun while it lasted….
I have a box of them on my fridge right now, getting hard as rocks!

The new flavors this year mostly sound gross, except for the lemonade….that might be good….

……and yes, you can scrapbook with them too!

I love the little guys! :):)  I did buy one item this year…..

Even if you hate to eat them you have to admit, they are cute!

I bet you are wondering what the heck is a Hoodle????  Well this is a Hoodle…

Yup, had a DNA test and she is such a mix that they couldn’t get it diluted enough!  But she had miniature Poodle all over in the mixes and pure bred three generations back on both sides.  So Bailey is starting a new “Designer Breed”

On to Spring…..let’s play!

 

 

I think that Deb came up with a real winning project again!  Have you seen the Dollar Store wine glasses that have been made into little plastic cloches????

 

They can be made for any occasion….these are just a few examples….I found most of these on Google…..

They are like the spoolies, easy to make and don’t take forever…..

So if you want to join in the fun this time, here are the rules:

1.  You must have an ACTIVE blog.  Active meaning you post at least as couple of times a month.

2.  The package needs to be sent out no later than April 1st…..PLEASE  I know things happen, but let me know…

3.  This is a one on one swap, and I hope you get a different partner but there is a chance you will be teamed up again with a person you have swapped with before.

4.  The swap includes the cloche, and 3-5 little items….little, not big!  lol

5.  It can be a Spring or Easter theme, just be sure to check with your partner as to their choice.

I am closing entries in 4 days….that is the evening of the 14th. Share this with all of your friends, the more the merrier….and on the 10th of April we will all do a post showing our goodies, OK???

What I do with Peeps……

Open package, tear them apart…

Put them up on top of the fridge and forget about them!  Nice and hard and crunchy….YUM!

Update on Bailey she was spayed a week ago and they sent her home with this….

Which was fine until the drugs wore off and then she went berserk and flipped over when Wayne put her on the ground….so Bryan went and got this at Pets-Mart…

You blow it up and then thread their collar through, she could NOT get at her wound!  Much better!!!!!! She weighs 12.5 pounds now…..the vet figures she will top out at about 15 pounds.  We had a DNA panel done on her, it is suppose to go back three generations….so we will see what Bailey really is breed wise…:)
