Vintage Christmas Goodies

I have decided that our family is going to decorate all vintage or reproduction vintage from now on!

So to help that happen, I purchased a few items on Ebay…

One was a lot of Christmas items from children's books

Love the graphics and I had not seen either of these books before!

Then there were the different banks Christmas Club cards…

IMG_3195

and a wonderful OLD red wreath!  And a little mini one I am going to decorate and put up in my dollhouse…

IMG_3196

From banks in New Jersey and New York.

There is a seller on Ebay ( vintholidays) that I used to buy from on Etsy, she went to Ebay and has done really well for herself!  I buy one of her OOAK new putz houses every year.  This is the one I was lucky to win this year…I just adore them!!!!

Look at the details!

A mixture of old and new that works great…:)

My other love this Christmas is the old tin reflectors…

IMG_3204

This all came from one auction and I got it sooo cheap!  Love them all…

IMG_3205

Look at the original price!!!  Yes please, lets make some more now!

IMG_3206

This box was full to the brim!

The next item is my Moms….

IMG_3193

I just really LOVE this tin…see the residue from the piece of tape???

IMG_3194

She would put on on every tin every year and put cookies she had baked in them.  I just love that I have this memento of my Christmases with my folks!

I also got the creative bug the other night, I got my sister- in- laws name for Christmas and I wanted to make her something….

Totally different than the other wreath.  These are plastic balls and an old garland I had…I hope she likes it! :)

So…onto the decorating…I really dread it, but it should be easier this year with Chris here.  It is a LOT of work, but I need to get busy.  When I get it all done I will take photos to share…thanks for stopping by…

Well of course I'm just swooning over all of it! Heavenly!!!
I didn't know about those bank cards. And I think that the Putz seller is the same one that I stumbled apon lastnight on Ebay. I'm so curious about where she gets her paper for behind the windows! The house is beautiful!
Have fun decorating!

Super fun finds Sandy! I am so jealous of those tin reflectors, I've never found any. Do you use them with c7 or c9 bulbs? The wreath will make a big hit I'm sure, it's really cute.

Vintage Christmas is my favorite. Although I do a mixture. My living room and kitchen has the most. Love your darling house! I bought and old light set that has reflectors this year. Kind of fun. I'm not sure what I will do with it other than stick it in a jar. But for $2 I had to buy it.

Jann

I love your wreath. And I had one of those books as a kid. I remember my mom reading it to me and then reading it myself year after year and looking at the pictures. Good memories. Looking at the graphics is like going back in time. Thanks for this wonderful post.

Hi Sandy, The garland comes from Etsy or Ebay either. The plastic ornaments are already on the garland. YOU gave me the wooden ornaments! Everything else was made from the OA paper and vintage greeting cards. I knew this would be a project you would like! E

Wonderful finds! I love it all! I have barely any vintage Christmas goodies, but I'm hoping to start collecting more. Most of my decorations are just "vintage inspired" at this point. I would love for all of mine to be vintage someday!
