I’m Back and so much to share!

housewife_4

Hi Everybody! I sure am glad to be back home! I had a wonderful vacation with my family in Wisconsin. We did so much together, it was a blast! The weather was great and as usual so green and pretty…..spring is really popping back there.

I have a lot to show you! But…..I left my camera at my cousins! Can you believe it????? She is going to send it out ASAP…then I can show you all of the wonderful things I bought and the places we went!

It feels good to be back in my regular routine. I am finding out as I get older it is harder to just pick up and go!

I have been checking in on all of you….seems a lot has been happening while I was gone….so, this is short and sweet, but I wanted to say hello to all of my buddies! :)

Thanks for stoppin’ by…have a great day!

It was a fun day!!!!

I got to meet Jennie Matlock of http://jennymatlock.blogspot.com/ she is a kick and she has a wonderful family!!!! Jennie, we have to get together again !!!!!! Great lady and my best customer! :

Today I am thinking this was a lot of fun, but Never again!!!! LOL Most of us talked at the end and decided that being in someone else’s show this fall makes more sense….this was just a lot of work! So we will see, we all agreed a show with holiday goodies is more fun to get ready for.

So it is on to Wisconsin!!!!

Eau CLaire 1

Eau Claire Here I come!!!!!!!!! (Happy Dance!) Elizabeth, cute post card huh???? :)

Thanks for coming by!!!!! I don’t know if I will get to post while I am gone, but I will be checking in with all of you often! Take care!!!!!

P.S. I wanted to let anyone who is interested in my sheets of decals to know that I had to increase the price of each sheet. I went thru almost $60.00 worth of in in 10 sheets! They take an enormous amount of ink! So the price per sheet is now $12.00. That is very fair when you add up the price of decal paper, ink amd sealer. Other than the largest one, you get a lot on one sheet. Those of you who already have orders in, I will still honor the $8.00 a sheet of course....

I want to thank everyone who was so responsive about the decals! I am going to have a LOT more to offer soon!!!!! And I will be able to do custom orders also....stay tuned!

This is crazy!!!!!

OK....this is my first craft show. And I feel like I am going in 10 different directions! The show is from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday.....I am still making stuff.
Thanks to my friend Cheri, I do feel better about what I need to do. She is my "let's get organized and get it done" friend! God Bless her! :)

So, I probably won't be posting much of anything until after the show and I get back from vacation....so I will talk with all of you then!

The photo pretty much says it all! LOL

Thanks for coming by......

My Genealogy Blog is Up and Running!

I wanted all of my blog friends to be the first to know that I have another blog!

With-Gratitude-Header

Here is the link:

http://withgratitude-sandy.blogspot.com/

I wasn’t sure I was going to do this, I had to think about why I needed to do it. And it came down once more to a very easy reason. I want my ancestors to be known and remembered.

When my folks died, I was always so afraid that they would be forgotten by this world. So I have talked and shared a lot about them in the last 29 years. And I will continue to do so. Once I got to “know” the rest of my families generations it was also important that their stories be written down, and that is what I plan on doing with this new blog.

So please, even tho’ it is totally a different journey than 521 Lake Street please stop by and say hello once in a while!

The person who did this blog for me is Karen Valentine, it was a fun few days working together! If you need help with your blog or want to redo it please take a few minutes to see her sites.

Here are her links:

521 Lake Street Blog Badge

OK….I finally have this fun little badge done! It isn’t exactly how I wanted it, but I finished it anyhow! Remember my mission word for 2010 is “DO” !

Every piece I make I am finding my “niche”…I just get a little overwhelmed with all of the possibilities and then I can’t make a decision….does anyone else have that problem???

I think it is that perfectionism rearing it’s ugly head again…..

IMG_1506

I used stickers for the numbers and name, next time I will use my new Cricut Create! Again, forgot about using it….too many possibilities! LOL

IMG_1507

Also, can someone please tell me the easy way to make a crepe paper ruffle with out having to sew it???? I did this with double sided tape, and then once I got it on here, I cut it to fringe it….but is there any easier way???? Looks OK for the first time….

SO…Now I have a BLOG Badge too! :)

This was a lot of fun once I got the “P” monster to shut up!!! LOL

Have a good day! Thanks for stoppin’ by!

A Very Special Son

Yesterday was my Son Christopher’s 26th birthday. We went over to have pizza with him and his brother Bryan and Chris’ friends.

We went to Wal-Mart to get some groceries, Chris went one way and his Dad and me went another. We got what we needed and went back to get into his car and this was what was waiting for me:

IMG_1502

A beautiful bouquet of roses! He had gone into the store, bought the flowers and brought them outside so they would be there when I got back in the car. He came around and gave me a big hug and said “ I wouldn’t be here without you!”….every year he shows up on his birthday with flowers for me.

IMG_1501

IMG_1504

Actually every time he comes to see me he has flowers for his Mom…..

I guess his Dad and I did a few things right! :)

I can remember when Wayne and I celebrated my first birthday as a couple , he was living in California and I was here living with my folks in Arizona. The door bell rang and the prettiest two bouquets of flowers were at the door…my Mom got them and brought them in and said “ Oh look, Wayne got you flowers! But when I went to look at the cards, one was for my Mom! She was so surprised!!! He thanked her for having me!!!!! I will never forget the look on her face….Wayne only got to send her flowers for two years, but both times were so special for her and me!!!!

I think that is where my sons get their sweet hearts…..I am surrounded by them! :)

Rednesday and Decals too!

It is Rednesday over at Sue's http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/ and since these decals have a lot of red, I decided to use them for today's post.....

Thank you for all of the emails I have gotten! I am a bit overwhelmed! But happy to oblige! :)

For right now, these are the ones I can make….I will be making more when I can get a certain someone to come over to my house. :)

IMG_0834

This is what it looks like on the jar, I can make this in three different sizes. The large jar, the medium jar and the small jar.

watermark2

These are the two I have right now….I would be happy to either sell the decals with instructions or make a jar, but be aware that shipping the large one is costly! Ask Elizabeth! LOL

I am flattered that you would be interested girls!
I don’t mean for my blog to be a marketplace, but I am awful proud of these…..

Sizes are:

Large you get 2 decals- fits the 1 gallon jar.

Medium – you get 4 decals- fits 2 quart jar

Small you get 9 decals and it fits the smallest jar

These take a lot of ink and the paper is more expensive than regular copy paper so I am going to charge 12.00 a sheet. I tried it at the $8.00 and I barely made anything. These use an enormous amount of ink, but you get a lot on one sheet!

If I do a jar for you it will be the price of the jar and the price of the decals…..I get the jars at a few places, and occasionally get them on sale, so that price can vary. I ship USPS Priority.

Please email me to let me know if you are interested!

I will have a lot more very soon…..if you have an image you would like me to make a decal out of, just let me know!

Thank ladies….I appreciate the interest!

I also recently bought this on the Internet, I just love the graphics on the tin, but look at how cute and red the contents were!!!! I don't have any little girls in my life ( yet!) but this is so adorable, I just look at it and smile! :)

I also went to Costco yesterday and look at these fun kitchen towels I found!!!!!

Right up my alley!!!!! There were 10 of them in the pack. I so love finding my colors in a whole set of anything! :)
Have a great day!
