I haven’t done a Rednesday post with Sue for awhile now, and decided I wanted to do something special for this Rednesday. So I looked up Vintage Woolworth Christmas photos and came to a Flickr site for a person named fontgirl68. She has had the great opportunity to go to the above named museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This spot is definitely on my Bucket List!!!!
So enjoy…..and wish we could go back in time! :)
How many of us have purchased these items all these years later and paid a good amount for them! I would have a hard time being in this store for too long! LOL

I don't think I could handle it. The pictures are difficult enough to look at. It's like a vintage Christmas dreamland. :-) Are you sure those photos weren't taken in Magpie Ethel's studio?

Woolworth's was such a great store--loved eating at the lunch counter when I was a little girl. One a trip to the UK, I was so excited to see they still had woolworth's-- I need to dig out my photos. I think the UK stores have closed now though-- such a shame.
Some things would be nice to go back in time. Most of my life was as such as I prefer the today.
Those pictures are awesome! I miss Woolworths! There was one next door to a Montgomery Wards store that I worked at when I was 18. I used to go over to Woolworths lunch counter on paydays and splurge on grilled cheese and fries lunch.
Holy cow, that would be so amazing to see! I loved going downtown on Saturdays to the 5 & dime! We had Scotts, Woolworths and Grants all in a row. Sigh, so many great memories!
Oh, I almost forgot to say, I love your new Christmasy look, especially the big jar of candy and that snowman with the cocker spaniels, cute, cute!

We had a Woolworth's in my hometown when I was growing up... I don't remember anything like THIS! How I wish I could find that Woolworth Santa at the end!

Oh how I remember the Woolworth store here in our little town. I have two little Santa's still in package from the Woolworth store. Brought back such great memories, thanks for sharing.

Loved this post, Sandy!!! I remember going to Woolworth's whenever we went to Chicago, and I really miss it. I wish I knew then what I know now, and had bought every single Christmas thing they had!

Just a note....NO, you cannot buy this stuff! It would have been long gone by now. LOL nd I agree with Amy, I don't know if I could even walk in this store!!!! I think I would faint for sure....all of this vintage goodness in one spot! I also remember, TG&Y, Kresge(?) the baby Kmarts, Sprouse&Reitz, Newberry's and Grants....If I wona lottery I would open a store with everything I could find that you can still buy that is "vintage" and start a 5&10....wouldn't that be fun???? Taking apps for franchises! :):)
Oh Sandy, this is such a cool post. I love coming here to visit. Now, I am going to go online and look up vintage stuff from Woolworths. I still have an original plastic bag from there. Now, hubby and I have gone to Lancaster many times, and I have never heard of this place. Definatley on my list!! Thanks so much for sharing!

I loved going to Woolworths with my mom and great aunt during the early 1960's! The lunch counter was my favorite! I marveled at how many plates the waitresses could carry on their arms! And I could spend hours gazing at all the housewares, even at a very young age! Thanks for sharing!

Oh how I MISS WOOLWORTH'S!! I use to shop their all the time, until they closed in the "80's. I miss "dime" stores anyway!!
OH this is just so wonderful! I remember going to Woolworths as a child. I remember the lunch counter too! It was such a shame they all closed down. I need to get to this museum it looks like so much fun. thanks for taking us all down memory lane!
