Hi everyone, I hope that today is a good day for you!
I have always wanted one of those sweet Irmi baby lamps that we all see on other people’s blogs…..
You know the ones…..sweet little wooden characters, painted just so…
I have tried for the Jack in the box a couple of times on EBay and never seem to have the right bid…
These photos are courtesy of turtlecreekinteriors.com. See Letter A ?
I finally won one of these on EBay, but is it Irmi or not????
This is the one I won! I love his colors and I can’t wait to make a sweet shade for him, thanks to Elizabeth at Bluebird Papercrafts I now have a great idea for one….
The problem is that on the bottom it states….
Plastic & ???? Nursery, the one word looks like it starts with an “I” but I am not sure….is that Irmi?????
Here is a couple more views….
This was on Etsy as an Irmi, and this is mine……
Here is the bottom, sorry I can’t get this clearer, I need a new camera!
I really am happy I have this, Irmi or not!!!! But I thought there might be a person out there that is something of an expert on this….hope so!
Thanks for stoppin’ by!

I wouldn't have the slightest idea what it is. But it sure is cute as a bug's ear!

Sandy,
I'm pretty sure it's Irmi. I sold an Irmi switchplate cover that had a gold foil sticker on back that said 'Originals By "Irmi" © Nursery Plastics Inc' which sounds similar to what's on the bottom of the lamp. You lamp is super cute too!
Cute girl..you can never go wrong with good ole Humpty!!
Missed you this week over at Mornin Glories.
Hugs Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham
Very sweet and cute over here! I am always glad to stop by. Anne
Oh, is that ever darling! Would you like to sell it to me? That would look so cute in my vintage toy guest room!
Your blog is just wonderful!

Oh, what a sweet little lamp! Where will you put it? I can't wait to see your lampshade! Yep, E has inspired me, too - I just gotta make a lampshade now - Mary E. inspired! Hugs, Patti
I'm no expert on them but I do have one I bought in the 60's for my daughter's room and still have and use it. The bottom mark looks exactly like your lamp so I'm sure this must be one. Nan
Sandy, I don't know if it's that brand but I do know it's adorable. I'm glad you got this smile when you won!
Sandy, that is too, too stinkin cute! I love these lamps too and I can't wait to see the shade you make for it. I loved the one that E showed us the other day. Have a wonderful weekend, Nan
Oh happy day! I bet it is Irmi! ♥
I came by earlier and started to leave you a comment and then I called my mom to ask about my Irmi lamp from my childhood. I KNOW I had one of these, but neither my mom or I can remember what was on it. It's not one of the ones that you have shown. I found a cute little light switch that must be Irmi for my daughter's room. What a fun post and boy did you take me back to childhood! :)
Sandy, I love your lamp - can't wait to see the shade you're making!
I was looking at this again and I see MY lamp here, it's number F. Missed that before.
I love your Humpty-it doesn't matter what he is! He's just adorable! We also do the mixed nuts for holidays season, too. Good for you and your hubby losing weight! That's something me and my hubby need to do soon.
Hi there, That little Humpty lamp with the quilt in the background is mine. This is a Nursery Plastics lamp. The company often referred to as "Irmi" originally manufactured their lamps under that company name. ( It would later change hands and be called Nursery Originals.) Although they usually used pastels, your lamp is just one of many versions of color they used of the same design.
Irmi was the name of the woman who started Nursery Plastics. She and her husband moved the business into the wooden nursery items we all recognize with great fondness today!
And I see I commented on this one, too! Thanks for sending me the link,Sandy!
