Do you love Paper Dolls?

Hi Everybody!

Well, I have decided that we are not painting the cupboards….at least not this year, they are really in great shape as far as the fronts and it looks kind of nice in the room, a friend came over and painted all of the corbels and touched up the walls, so now I need to order the top and just load everything up!  So on to more fun stuff!

I love vintage paper doll sets, and just by accident I found this wonderful blog that has tons of them for you to print!!!! The blog is named http://bonecasdepapel.blogspot.com.  I looked and can’t seem to find the name of the owner, she(?) is from Portugal and I am amazed at all of the wonderful paper dolls she offers!!!!! Here is a set that I got that is Santa, Mrs. Santa and the elves and reindeer.  Too cute!

Paper dolls were my favorite plaything as a child. I remember having a set with the Lennon Sisters and another with Dinah Shore. Oh how I wish I still had them- great memories! Off to check out that blog- thanks for the info.

I so enjoyed my paper dolls when I was growing up. My cousin, my neighbor and I would spend hours playing with our paper dolls and use our imaginations to dress the dolls up for weddings or imaginary grand balls! I have Jane Powell, Greer Garson, Judy Garland, Rita Hayworth, Betty Grable, Annette, etc. Go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/16114121@N04/2583059176/in/set-72157605639347545/ to view my paper dolls. Thanks for the link.

Hi Sandy,
I've just spent a terrific half hour reading your sweet blog. I found your blog via The Little Red Hen at Home and I'm so glad that I popped over!

I was looking at one of your previous posts of the Etsy seller making over those candle holders. I had a collection of those brass ones (which I couldn't stand anymore as they didn't go with the new cottage look I was going for) and decided to take out my spray paints and go bananas. They look great on top of my bookshelf.

Thanks for the link to the paper-doll blog. I remember playing with those when I was a little girl. I remember having had That Girl paper-dolls. I wish I had it now!

Going to go check the link out

Girl you know I LOVE them, have a whole pinboard just for Paperdolls! I stumbled on her blog too a few weeks ago.
When I was a little girl, my great grandmother and Mom would give us the old Penney's and Sears catalogs when the new ones came out and my sisters and I would spend hours and hours making our own paperdolls complete with rooms of furniture from the catalogs, such fun!

I just found your blog this evening and was so impressed, not just with this post but with all your past posts (well, I didn’t look at all of them, but the ones I did look at) great job. I have had a love affair with paper dolls every since I can remember. In fact when I was in first grade I remember going to the "Five & Ten Cent Store", and purchasing a book of paper dolls that were these rosie cheeked babies. I'm looking forward to having more time to come back and really dig into your archives. I love the 1950's style of your blog, too. Thanks for sharing. Your new fan and follower, Connie . . . . If you have a moment please come give me a visit, my welcome mat is always out.
