Perfect, Sandy! Are you going to scan and print them out to frame or disemble the book? I have sooo many things that I want to frame some day! ♥

You know I adore your linen books and had two of them myself which are gone and I know not where. I didn't even remember them until I saw yours. I never have found any of them on Ebay. I need to search again. However that said at this point in my life I'm getting rid of stuff not taking on more. I'm selling lots of my books and dolls over at Once upon a Fairyland shop my friend Jackie opened for real in WA.

I love your little cloth books! I remember having some as a kid. I read the Little Red Hen story to my kids over and over... hoped that they would learn how important is was to help. I think it worked.

I'm still pretty sure that I've never seen a linen book, but I DO know that you collect them and if I ever do see one, I'll grab it for you! The illustrations are so sweet, and still so vibrant. They'll look fantastic all framed up!
Happy REDnesday,
Carol

Hi Sandy Sweetie...
A beautiful share. I love this story as a child, and have read it many, many times over the years to both my children and grands.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I saw that all the gals had a really nice time at Meri's. I truly wish I could have gone, but I am hoping for another time.

I hope you are well sweetie. I didn't see you in the photo, and was concerned. Many hugs and much love to you, Sherry

You're right - the graphics, fonts, and colors are awesome! Who cares if there's not much red!

Oh, sorry about the CK sale - I got busy outdoors this week and forgot about it!

I love these old books too Sandy, the pics are just precious! AND, I agree, great message! Have you ever heard Ronald Regan's version of this? If not, you have to google it and hear it in his voice. TFS, Nan

Oh you are so correct. That little book's message had an impact on me as a child that I never forgot and I still mention it to my children today.

I've tried to instill in all five of my children the Biblical principle...you work to eat. You must be at least willing to work! A good work ethic is worth its weight in gold these days. There have been many times when my children have grumbled and griped about helping on some project around the house...then sometimes the Little Red Hen gets to enjoy the fruits of her labors (sometimes a movie, or a trip to the mall) all by herself to make a point. Many hands make light the load!
