Starting with the Kitchen

I have found a easier way to take care of my want to remodel my kitchen in my home ( this will happen, but not now)…I am going to start with my dollhouse kitchen!

IMG_2049

It isn’t a very big room for a farmhouse kitchen, I am half tempted to make the living room the kitchen!

These are the wallpapers I found online….

Love this one, bit it is in Australia….really pricey to get here….and guess what? The same paper is in the house now in faded out blues. Looks very 40’s to me…..

And then look what I found!!!!

Yup! ME cherry wallpaper for dollhouses! I am so tempted! :)

And look at some of the fun finds for furniture…..

Don’t know if I have room for 4 chairs….

two chirs with woven seats I really like these, and I do have a small white table already coming…..

!BnTOWLw!mk~$(KGrHqYOKkQEtljTg5C3BLi96Cqo6!~~_35 These are so cute too!

I love the black and white tile also in this first photo…

Oh yes…..color!!!!!!! The ceiling fan will have to go, and a cute farmhouse light….so many decisions and as any of you who do dollhouses know, items are not inexpensive!!!!!

And of course we will need one of these!

So this will be a slow but sure remodel! Thanks for coming by and let me know what you think???? Which wallpaper and which chairs so you like?????

I really need to get started again on the dollhouse I started in 1980 or 81. The outside is finished, but I never finished the inside. You'll have to inspire me. My house is Victorian, but I was going to make it as if a modern day family lived there. It looks like you're doing the same thing. Can't wait to see what you do.

You make me want to grab a doll house and decorate myself. I'd love to find one that has the same layout is my own home. That would be really cool. If one day we sell our home, we'll still have us a replica. love the cherry wallpaper!! Tazzy

Oh gosh these things are darling. I have a red stool like that which is an old vintage one used in my Mom's home. I still use it. Love the ME paper !!

So cute! Love the cherry wallpaper, being an ME fan. Does the hutch come in other colors - red or yellow? I like the chairs that aren't ladderback best - don't know what you call them. Love the kitchen stool! Boy, doesn't that bring back memories!!

You are in for such fun!

Sooooooooooooooo cute! I LOVE the cherry wallpaper and the ladder back, cane bottom chairs! And the retro red step stool is TOO FABulous! I need one for my REAL kitchen! This is a wonderful way to keep the "interior redesign" bug at bay! Adorable! Can't wait to see how it progresses!

OH! And the black and white tile floor?!? That will soon be MY kitchen floor...for real!

Oh my gosh! This looks like so much fun. I dare not look anymore because now I want a dollhouse too! I think (in my unbiased opinion) you should get the ME wallpaper! Either way it will look so inviting! I could send you some of my cherry wallpaper and maybe there's a way you can scan it and shrink it down? I'm serious - I do have some leftover and I would love to send it to you if you might want it.

You and I like very similar things for our dollhouse kitchens! I have that kitchen chair/step stool in red, and I love it!!! It was one of my first pieces and I kind of built the kitchen around it. Love it! You are going to have so much fun!
Hugs,
Jill

I think this is what I need to do too! Instead of wishing for a new kitchen floor, I'll just redo the one in my dollhouse. And it's so much easier to keep clean.....
Happy Monday!

I follow your blog daily to see what you are doing to the dollhouse. I really like the ME wallpaper and the red step-ladder stool brings back memories because my mother had one in our kitchen when I was a little girl. I like the ladderback chairs with the interwoven seats.

It sure would be exciting to decorate, especially at holiday times.

I am so jealous right now! I've wanted a dollhouse for years. You will have the house decorated beautifully and it will be loads of fun just watching you, too.

You're dollhouse is adorable. If you do end up with some of the furniture you showed it will be spectacular. I had a fix up doll house-two rooms and had so much fun redoing. I really got obsessed with it. It's very habit forming. Enjoy it!

Sandy, How I wish I had kept photos of the doll house I made many years ago, a large pink Victorian with white trim. At the time there wasn't Fimo, so I made all of my flowers from bread, hand lotion and paint Imagine! You would have just loved it! A ME house would be the sweetest idea for your house. I can't wait to see your ideas as they come along! Have super fun! Elizabeth
