Chris December 1, 2015 # 5

When I see these photos my heart just breaks….he is fighting for his life…he has really good odds of beating this disease, he is my son and it tears me apart everyday to see him suffer so……

He has an incredible spirit and I thank God everyday for it….

This disease is not just for the person who has it, it is for everyone who loves them!

I want to take this time to thank each and every one of you for the prayers, the good thoughts, the help you have all given us….we have a bit of a ways to go yet.  Surgery the first part of January to take out about 7 inches of cancer ridden bone in his thigh, then 12 more treatments….but we have learned to take it one day at a time…

So during this holiday season hug your loved ones a bit harder and be sure to tell everyone that you love them!  We are so thankful for everyone who has joined our fight….

And please…keep praying for my boy….

Hi Sandy, Your son (you, and the rest of your family) have been in my prayers and thoughts. It is good to read that he stays positive through his difficult treatment.

I will continue to pray and send positive thoughts for his upcoming surgery and continued recovery.
Thanks so much for sharing with us.

Praying for your son. I hate this disease. The treatment is so harsh but praying that it does the trick. I know you are worried sick. Sometimes it is so hard being a mom. I hope that all goes well and this time next year you can rejoice in his body being cancer free.
Hugs

Ohhhh Dear Sandy - I hope you can feel the love and hugs that are sent your way. Of course we will all be praying for your sweet son, and you, and the family. It must be so difficult - yet, comforting that you are close by. You are so loved.

Dear Sandy,
I live in Houston and have visited your webpage many times over the last couple of years. I was very sad to read about your son's diagnosis. I am encouraged that he has some surgical options ahead and that he has managed to keep a beautiful smile on his beautiful face.

I am a Mom too, and I get how terrified you must feel, and how helpless you might be feeling sometimes. Please know that my heart is keeping you and your son close and that I will be praying for a full and speedy recovery for your boy.

May God bless you and keep you wrapped in His arms. Sincerely, Donna Scott

I can so relate. My son was diagnosed in 2009 and has had numerous rounds of chemo and two stem cell transplants but has been cancer free for three years. We spent Christmas 2012 down at MD Anderson where he received his brother's stem cells on December 21, 2012. (We did have a scare this summer, but all was OK.) It's heartbreaking to watch what they have to go through and it's also the most helpless feeling in the world for a mother. Hang in there! My prayers are with you.
