Rednesday at 521 Lake Street

A25

It is another fun Rednesday in our Blogworld…just click on the fun photo above and you can see all of the fun posts on Sue’s Blog, It’s A Very Cherry World!

I love this day…red always makes me feel happy and paired with yellow…can’t get any better!

So this is my contribution this week!

IMG_1775

Sweet little tea flower pot filled with hearts and flowers from my hubby for Mother’s Day!

scan00451

This little guy came on a card in a batch on won on Ebay…the card was horrid, browns and grays, but he was so darn cute, his arm moves so he can swing at the ball. He is about 2.5 inches tall.

IMG_1776

A favorite ME tin from Michaels from a group of items for a party. Love the see thru top! :)

IMG_1777

IMG_1779

An adorable pillow I bought from Etsy…a vintage table cloth and new repro quilt fabrics.

IMG_1781

A fun shelf I made ( Goodwill buy) with my friend Cheri for the craft show, didn’t sell it, but it is perfect in my kitchen!

IMG_1782

A wonderful little peg doll and her Scottie made just for me by my friend Elizabeth! She sent me a whole box of cute cute items, I will share a little at a time….the bright red pot with the pink flower moves back and forth when it hits sunlight! :)

IMG_1780

2 Yards of fun red oilcloth that will get a scalloped edge and be perfect with my Fiesta ware!

OK…that’s all for today! I am on my way to see everyone else’s fun reds! :)

Hi Sandy,
SO adorably cute! I LOVE the little scotty...I must ask E to fashion one for me when her hands are up to it! The red oil cloth and the pillow are gorgeous...and the little shelf you made? WONDERFUL! SOoooooooooo cute!

Regarding the larger photos in my sidebar, you can start with larger ones to begin with, then DON'T check the "shrink to fit" box on your blog customization page. Sometimes it will cut off the image, but you can mess around with the size til you get it right. If you start out with one that's larger, sometimes it doesn't shrink as small. Hope you get what I'm saying...??? Questions??? Ask away!

My favourite from today's post is definitely the tea pot ... perhaps because I'm a bit potty myself! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by to visit Caddie ... sometimes it's best not to ask what the bears are thinking ... they are a very cheeky lot, my bears.

Hi Sandy, What an awesome post with such lovely reds, love them all. I'm so happy I came by for a peek, darling! Thank you for visiting and leaving your kind comment on my "Strolling along Memory Lane..."REDNESDAY"! I couldn't believe my eyes when I found this wicker carriage with the "RED" and white gingham hood and "RED" wheels.

Love the oilcloth but want the doggie that moves his arm. I love quirky and that it is. Thanks for sharing.

That pillow and the oilcloth is so darn cute!! There is a store in Tucson that sells Mexican oilcloth but sooo expensive. I did find a large tote made from the same oilcloth fabric as yours at a thrift store. It is x-large and I think it is going to be enough to cover our bar stools at the next home. That way the kiddo's spills will not send me over the edge, just wipe and we're done.:)
Sorry so long.
Fondly,
Ann

I have that tin too, and I love the shelf you made, but that pillow, I NEED to make myself one! Wonderful reds!

Shelley said...

Oh my! What a great collection of reds! The planter from hubby is so sweet. I always love getting plants and gardening for gifts! The pillow is outstanding! I just salvaged some pom pom fringe off a truly hideous and poorly made Christmas wreath...so this is a great idea! The oil cloth is fab, too!

That pillow is to die for. Gorgeous. I love the little birds on your shelf!

Ohh' how I love all your goodies! This year I have just fell in love with red because of all you blogland gals. That was never my favorite but I sure like it now. The little doggie is so cute. I love E's peg doll and doggie too. I have been wanting to get some oil cloth and make some aprons. That pattern is so pretty and would look adorable with the scalloped edge.
