Hi Everyone!
I can’t tell you how many times I have seen this print…
I think it reminds those of us that were born in the 40’s and 50’s about our youth….the images they sold over and over….vintage, happy, not a care in the world….
I looked up the artist and his name is Art Frahm. His pin-up art always seemed to be losing their panties!
I just laughed when I saw these….when was the last time you knew someone who kept losing her underwear in public places? Talk about every man’s fantasy…lol I am sure this was very risqué for the times.
He also did some wonderful women with their clothes on….
Another artist I love…Henry Hintermeister…such innocence! I believe this policeman was called “Officer Friendly”
Who doesn’t remember the crossing guards when we were little? My brother was actually one! He was very proud of that…:)
I am always looking to add to my school time collection…all of these images came from Pinterest.
Have a great week!

Oh yes, takes me back to when I was a little girl! The friendly crossing guard! And our rural bus drivers when we moved to the country. They treated us like family? Times were different. Cute post! Oh gosh, the panties around ladies ankles! I can just hear my grandmother, "oh for goodness sake!"
love all the paintings! Especially the ones with the children. we had crossing guards too.. they were on the "safety patrol" team. I dont think they have them anymore. When Bethany was in school she was one. but I'm pretty sure they've done away with them.
have a lovely day my friend

I recognize a few of those panty paintings from my late grandfather's woodworking shop. He had them pinned on his walls. I was a Lieutenant of my School Safety patrol. I had a silver badge I wore on my bright orange safety belt. We still have them at Josie's elementary school. What fun images.
Love those pictures-guess cause I grew up in that era. If you have heard of the Bedtime Stories by Uncle Arthur - the original series are full of those type of pictures. I especially remember those 'early' mornings - my mom hanging out the wash - and I as a little girl sitting on the stoop watching the morning shadows grow longer - waiting for the neighbor kids to wake up and come out and play. Now 'those' were the real summer holidays - loved them!
Great images Sandy! Love all of the detail in the Hintermeister pictures! These brought back memories of my youth! Thanks for sharing!

These are wonderful Sandy! Don't think I've ever seen the panties around the ankles photos before, lol. I was on the safety patrol in school, white belt, shield and all. Had forgotten all about that, thanks for the memories! :)
That's what I love about Pinterest, I pick an artist and find lots of their cute stuff! Apparently the only time the girls lost their drawers was when the wind kicked up their skirts too! Fun finds!

I was a school patrol! I wish I had kept my shinny badge:) I had a flag to put down when the kids crossed the street!
NEXT week you'll be here!!!Excited!!

Hi Sandy! On facebook today, I saw some pin up pics that showed the paintings plus their original real life models. The painted versions always had bigger busts! vintage photo shopping, I guess! :)
Terrific vintage art work..will have to look up more of their art.
