A Well Loved Son

I recently bought this card off of Ebay….I was so touched by the envelope…

card 1

And the back of the card…..

card 2

What came to mind was a couple that had waited a long time for this child, maybe their only one?  Someone kept it and cherished it for years…..and now I will…

Isn’t this adorable???

card 3

Feel free to use it for your personal crafting…:)  The long tab is a stand of sorts, The card is in really good shape and about 5x 7.  Enjoy!

You have such a tender heart...I too, was touched by the sweet sentiments written by loving parents. I hope my own children will know just how much they mean to me...you've inspired me to let them know. Thank you!

How precious! Glad you are the one to have found it.

I write these kinds of notes on every card for our children & kid-lings.

I always feel like I got a bonus when the card has a letter written inside! That's a Mommy who loved her boy...

I love vintage cards, but mostly love to read the handwritten messages. This one is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

The handwriting and card speak of another era. One that I miss more and more all the time. The love lasts forever, even if they are all passed. What a sweet sweet card. I would cherish it too.

Don't you wish you could walk into a card shop back then and just take a few...this is such a keeper. Beautiful and sentimental. Just waiting for you to grab it...smiles...Renee

How adorable is that! Every year, I write a special note in my kids' birthday cards, and put them in their baby books. I hope they will appreciate them and save them like someone saved this one!

Hi Sandy, Boy have I missed your blog! I never once took a peek at any blogs over the past six months. Looking through your past posts, boy do I realize how much I miss vintage! You always share the most fun finds to dream over. The dinette sets were heavenly. I bet I would pick the same one you would to own! Miss you! Elizabeth
