My Very First Grand puppy !

I wanted to introduce you to my new grand puppy!

Puppy 3

This is Kit ( so far), she is a registered English Pointer. My son Bryan has two friends that are in a pointing hunt dog club and they got him hooked on this breed….

Puppy 5

Her color is called “Lemon” and the only color she has right now is on her face. her entire body is white, but that will change with time and she will get what they call “ticks” of color….like this dog:

They come in three or four colors, but you can have whole litters of just one!

litter 1 These are all “lemon”, they come in black, liver and lemon.

They are natural bird dogs and it starts when they are pups…..

This is what they are bred to do:

This will be a great group of people to get out with, two of his friends own these dogs and other hunting dogs and one is a trainer, so she will have a great start! But more importantly she will be his buddy!

Puppy 1

She doesn’t look too happy in these photos, first day away from her litter mates and Mom, but I will get more photos today! Look at those paws! She will end up about 50 pounds or a little smaller, she was the runt. I am so happy I have a grand baby puppy to show you all! :):) I can’t wait to love on her!

P.S. New Development! My son wasn't crazy about her name, so I suggested "Abbey" and it stuck! It fits her to a T ! She is small ( the runt) and very feminine! So Abbey it is!!!!!

Oh how sweet. Bob and I had one of these dogs actually before we got onto the Weims. We lived in TX for a short time and came by one I'm not remembering how as it was in 1961 lol...he or she was liver and white. The pup ended up getting distemper as we were too young and stupid then to know about shots. He survived with vet care and then he got away from us and we never could find him. Maybe a good thing as we sure didn't know about being a responsible pet owner at the time. BOY have we come a long way in 50 years !! This gives me more patience with people today. There is a lot more emphasis now on vet care and education for the public where as in those days it was all low key.

Oh how cute! :) I love puppies. I have a grand puppy too. They are so much fun and without all the responsibility...sort of like grand babies. Of which I have none yet but hoping for in the next couple of years!

Hi Sandy,
Got the candy pics...thank you for taking the time! Your grandpuppy is adorable! She's got the sweetest little face. My son and daughter in love just sent me a picture of a baby Boston Terrier...I thought *I* was gonna be a gramma again...but they were just at the Pet Store petting puppies (again). It's one of their favorite "date places" to go. Weird?!?

Anyway, spoil her rotten! That's what they're for!

Sandy, she is a cutie and I think Abbey fits her perfect! A good friend of mine has one and says they are a great breed but you have to watch, as Nan said, they will pick up the scent of something and be gone! If he hasn't had her microchipped yet, that is a MUST with any dog but especially outdoorsy dogs. Hugs, Nan
PS: a gal stopped by my blog yesterday and left a comment and her hubby is from Parma too!

Puppy sitting days ahead for you? She is so cute. I love dogs...I was always the little girl who would walk up to any dog and kiss it. My mother was always scolding me...NO, NO, Jacqueline, he may bite you! Only one dog has ever taken a nip at me...and it was my own...naughty chihuahua!

Cute puppy! I hope the leg heals up nicely and doesn't cause anymore problems. We have a tick hound named "Buddy" I call her my polka-dot-dog :-)
