It’s Here Again!

Ad_5

I have been working on my journals and enjoying the rain....NOT! I know we really really need this rain, but it is wreaking havoc with my RA…..

It isn’t like a soft nice rain, it is like this!

Rain 1

See the puddles in the granite? We have been having 1 to 1 1/2 inches per storm! Now you need to understand, this is un heard of here . We have been in a 5 year drought for almost 10 years. Since January 1st up to now, we have gotten more rain than we get in a whole 12 months usually! So this is a big deal! By the time this storm passed, I had a lake in the granite and the grass!

But, today is a beautiful day and I wanted to share the rest of the journals, I am making some other things that I will tell you about later. But I made 6 journals and that is enough. I get tired of things pretty quick! LOL

So this is my contribution to Rednesday! This one above is my favorite!

On to the next projects! I have bought a few older wooden kitchen items, my friend Cheri and I are going to paint them and add decals for that sweet 40’s vintage kitchen look!

Hope everyone is having a good week! Thanks for stopping by!

So much rain this year! It's a good thing...and I like rain...but it's starting to get to be TOO much!

Your journals are lovely--looking forward to seeing your decorated crates--I'm sure they'll be just perfect--have fun!

Oh Sandy, I'm sorry the rain is causing you pain. I've heard of that, and I've always wondered why that happens? I just love your journals, and I can't wait to see those kitchen items that you're going to decal!
Happy REDnesday!

Your journals turned out beautifully!! The journal with the housewife would also have to be our favorite. They all are so pretty though! Can't wait to see your decal project.

Have a great week!

Oh what lovely journals!!! I just purchased some of that sweet yellow and red tulip paper from Jenni Bowlin. I don't really have a project in mind to use it on but I had to have it. It is so cheery--perfect for a rainy day. We too are expecting rain here in Pittsburgh. Not alot today but storms on Friday. I guess it is better than more snow (heheh) Hope your rain stops soon and you get to feeling better.
Happy Rednesday

The journals are so pretty. I see on is for recipes. What are you using the others for? I have lots of notebooks with all my ideas and magazine cut outs. I should make a pretty book like yours to put my notes in. Happy Rednesday.

Carey

I sure hope you're gonna show us your wooden kitchen items when you are done prettying them up!

I love your use of red and yellow in your journals. So pretty and vintagey looking. So my style! I just love them, and yes, you favorite is awesome!

The rain is bound to stop soon. I'm sorry it's causing you pain. I have had a couple of friends with RA, and I have seen first hand how difficult it can be.

Now, Sandy, count your blessings, not the raindrops! Your journals are super! I have a question about them - how do you adhere the paper to them? I've used mod podge, but it makes the covers curl a little bit and I don't like that.

Rain is better than snow. I am jealous, I see green grass. I don't have any snow in my yard but everything is all brown. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. I just want to say that I love your blog background and that my new curtains will have the same theme. I love a vintage theme.

I know what you mean about the rain. Every time I have time to get outside and work in the yard - it rains! We have had a lot too after our drought. Hope you can get a little relief soon.

Love your journals. They are very clever and very cute. You've done a wonderful job on them. Now, am I understanding correctly that you are selling these at a crafts fair? Have you thought of setting up an etsy shop? They are just so fun!

Oh Sandy, it's the same way here. We desert dwellers just don't know how to deal with rain, do we? It's been clear the past couple of days, but very cold. I think it's gotten up to about 40F, but with the wind chill it's felt much colder. It's supposed to warm up this weekend though :-) Your journals look wonderful.
Blessings,
Marcia

I can relate to the drought and rain, Sandy. We're getting the same here in California. I really love those journals. The mix of patterns and graphcis are great!

Your journals are fantastic.
You are getting the unusual rain like we are getting snow like never before. In 9 years I've been here we've never had this much snow.

Hi Sandy~I'm so sorry that the rainy weather is giving your RA fits! We were so lucky I guess to have had the beautiful weather that we did while we were there. I really like your journals. I alter journals, too and I know the fun of this kind of project. I wish I could be there for your show!!!!!!! :(
Your courtyard area is really pretty!
