May I introduce you to : SISSY!
I have loved this sweet blue gingham elephant ever since Meri made her.....When she put her on Etsy, I was so sad.....but then, Meri came to see me on my birthday and she had Sissy with her! HAPPY DANCE!!!! Have you ever seen anything so cute?????? She is so special to me! With her sweet little hat and big yellow bow....she is a very happy girl! She has a special spot in my room.....
THANK YOU SO MUCH MERI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, Meri was going to come by today and we were going to finish the last of the organizing, but she feels punky today so I told her not to worry, but she said she had something for me anyhow and would come by for a minute....This is what she had!

Another sweet Valentine/Birthday gift! Since I have the bad arthritis in my hands, I have trouble gripping things so she went out and got me a wonderful think soft gripped X-acto knife! Along with the Martha Stewart Tweezers to help pick up those little tine things! Along with some embossing tools too!
She is such a good friend...she takes really good care of me!
Then yesterday this sweet package showed up on my box from Joyce at Scrap for Joy.....she had read my post about the Necco wafers and she found these for me! With one of her wonderful hand made Valentines!
One package of each! Why this photo refuses to load the right direction, I have no clue...but you get the idea! Thank you so much Joyce for thinking of me!
And remember I told you I had gotten a very sweet box from Elizabeth at Creative Breathing???? Well, this is what was inside.......

What sweet little gifts you have received from friends. I also love genealogy and find the journey through the past addicting. grace
Hi Sandy,
So glad you stopped by my blog "Chicory Nits", because now I have found your blog. I absolutely love it. It is so pretty and everything I love. I think we will become fast friends because I have such similar interests as you. I love the 1940s, shop to much and have too much stuff in my home, I even have the same card board suitcases for organizing my crafts. However, they are still empty. Love the elephant you received. Happy belated birthday and happy valentines day. I have become a new follower.

Well, aren't you just the cat's meow this week, girl! A friend like Meri is a keeper! (Can't wait to see the room finished!)
Oh Sandy, I am so sorry your little beaks fell off! I had such a time trying to ship those without crinkling the crepe. Too funny! Meri has given you such a wonderful gift in her elephant and her friendship. Joyce makes THE BEST altered art ever! She has a wickedly funny side to her that I just love. I can't wait for your room reveal! Did you see I used your dish rack idea in my craft room? It's a new one until an old one is found. Such fun to decorate a room for no other reason than to be cute! Have a lovely Valentine's Day! Elizabeth
Hi Sandy,, boy its really a small world. I graduated Mcclintock in 76. I lived off hermosa. The very first cul de sac off of hermosa and Mcclintock is Alder Dr. I lived on that street. There is a house in the middle of that cul de sac that is long and has a green roof. Its backs up againg the 60 on ramp. That was my house! LOL
