Good Morning Everyone!
It is a bright sunny day here in Arizona and I thought I would send a little of it your way! I know so many of you are struggling with the grey and snow of winter...so I thought I would try to bring you a little piece of sunshine!
This dining room table was a steal at Goodwill before Christmas for 29.00. It isn't s huge table and I felt it was just right for a workspace for my crafting! So, I got out the Krylon Cherry Red again and went to town on the apron and legs of the table.
As you can see, it is a nice sturdy dinning room/kitchen nook table.
I didn't bother to paint the top as I was going to cover it with a cute Oilcloth.
And here is the finished project! My husband and I had never done anything like this, and we were surprised at how easy it was. I put the oilcloth in the dryer ( low temp) for just a minute or so, got most of the wrinkles out, then I cut off the little bit of excess I had and Wayne went to town with the staple gun.....

Thanks for the awesome idea - we need a table for the computer I am handing down to my grandson!
Oh sweet SIL...that table is so cute! It is JUST PERFECT.
Good job!
Love,
Jo
I am so enjoying watching you do these projects. What a great idea you had for this table I would have never thought of this, of course you love the same colors and patterns as I do! Nan
What a great idea-oilcloth! I love the table-it is so cheery. Sandy-your room is going to be dynamite when it's all finished. I love everything you've chosen..flooring, wall color and the red accents are great! Joyce
So cute!! Any tips to painting furniture with spray paint? (for those of us who have never tried that before.)
I really like the oilcloth!
What a fabulous table make-over. Love it, as well as the beautiful black and white flooring.
Very inspiring!

Great table! It is going to be fabulous. I can't wait to see what you do next!
Thank you for the sunshine Sandy! That table is so bright and cheery. You are just going to have a blast in there, aren't you?!
Of course the oilcloth is so you. Perfect. And such a good deal.
A gяєαт ѕυииу dαу ƒσя υ dear ♥
I love your table makeover. It came out great. What a steal at Goodwill. Your room will be such a fun room to be in once finished. We had sun all weekend long. Today it is not so nice here in our part of Northern California, but we get no snow, so I am not complaining.
Thanks for sunnying up our day. I am in love with spray paint and that color of red is so great!! The table is super.

So, you're going to send me the cherry-covered table this week, right? LOL! It's gorgeous - you did a great job!
To comment on yesterday's post, I love the blue walls in your room - and the floor is super! That's the kind of floor I want in my kitchen, but Mister insisted on hardwood. After 5 years, is so scuffed and dull!
Hey, guess what? We have something else in common - our house is a modular, too!
Oh. My. Gosh... that $29 table turned out soooo adorable!! Love the paint color on the walls of your craft room also-- I have the same color on the walls of my craftroom!
Hugs,
Jill
Oh my! This is so adorable! Great job! ♥
Your table looks wonderful! I just covered the top of an old desk with oilcloth, but I didn't have the nerve to paint the bottom red, I might have to rethink that!
Sandy, Your room is coming together so beautifully! I have the very same metal stand from my Honeymoon Years. Now I must get out the red spray paint - I will have to wait for outdoor weather. My poor basement flooring is forever red from the last project! Can't wait for the decorating! The suspense is wonderful! Having fun watching you have fun! Elizabeth
ooooh loving your blog and your table is amazing. What a great idea to put oilcloth on top. Oh how I love red. Perfect for the month of February! I will be back to visit again...now that I have found you!
Your craft room makeover is turning out wonderfully. Love the color of the walls, the tile on the floor and that table is just perfect for crafting and will be so easy to wipe off. Just read your post about the candy hearts and Necco wafers. Don't understand why they are always trying to change something that doesn't need changing. Have a great day! :) Tammy
Sandy, that is the cutest table! You did such a wonderful job on it and how clever of you to see it's potential when you found it. I am loving your craft room. Love the blue and the checkerboard floor! Have a nice week! Twyla
I absolutely adore it! I would feel so cheered every time I walked into the room and saw that table. You got a wonderful buy, and then did wonders with it. Red! Yea!
Brenda
Awwwwwdorable! Very cheerful colors, too. I'd never heard of oilcloth before. You're very creative.

Oh My Gosh! I think we could swap houses and feel right at home!! My
sewing room is aqua and I love it-not sure is it is similiar - but that
robins egg blue family is a beautiful blue. One of my favorite things
to do is take something old and re-purpose it. The cart is amazing.
Hi Sandy,
Brenda over at Cozy Little House sent me over to your site. What a cheerful, happy blog you have. I love it! Everything just makes me smile.
Love,

I have the same table, got it from the thrift store for $20 with the intention of painting the dark green legs/apron out with red! 'Course, mine is still sitting here waiting for that transformation...it's the dining/craft table. I love oilcloth and wanted to do the same thing as you, but I think my kids would wreck it so I just use a tablecloth to cover.
What a fabulous job you did with the table. Great deal and it's so bright and cheery. I love the oilcloth cover, what a great idea to staple it to the top. Love the cherries!! :-)
xoxo
