My husband Wayne and I were able to get away this summer and so we headed up to my brother and sister in law's place in Montana. They live in a small community called Lakeside, which is on part of the shore of Big Lake. Big Lake is the largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi. It was wonderful! What surprised us most was the variety of home in this area. From places like my brother's which is a brand new condo on the lake, to your wonderful ranches to these little sweet homes alongside all of the roads you travel. Every time we went out we had to go by this little yellow house, I finally had to stop and take some photos. You don't know how badly I wanted to go knock on the front door and ask if I could come in! :) This place was perfect! We then went to a little town called Sommers, it is a tiny community that has been there for over 100 years and that was obvious once you drove down the main street. This little place was at one time I am sure a store in the frontier town, but now I think it was just a fun place to be! And the flowers....oh my gosh, I live in Arizona and summer is not a time to grow anything, so when we retire I want to be where I can grow flowers all summer long....we hope to get back to Montana one day, we really needed more time to see it all.....

Hi! It is so very nice to meet you! Thanks for dropping by our blog and introducing yourself. Welcome to this world of blogging. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we have. Have a nice weekend! Twyla
I would love to move to some small town that not too many people know about and piddle about on my 2 acres doing up flower beds, vegetable gardens and a couple of sheds and what not. Let the dogs run wild and the cats catch mice. The sun beating down on my heavily covered body and the stars shine above my heavily drained eyelids..... ah... heaven. Maybe some day. Just not today. Hugs. Tammy
