Going Shopping

Meri and I went out junking last week and I found this beautiful brass lamp at goodwill….

The shade and the hurricane glass insert are perfect.  This is a good sized heavy lamp…it was marked 29.99.  A very nice woman behind us in the check out line gave us a 20% off coupon, so I got almost 6.00 off…..

These are the “before” photo….imagine it the color of the chandy in the first photo…..Wal-Mart here I come…..:)

I really want to take a moment and thank all of you who left comments yesterday….they meant so much!   As I said, today is going to be a better day….and so far so good….:):)

    Happy Belated Birthday, Sandy! I'm glad you're feeling better about it, and I say that nothing takes your mind off of things like having a project to work on. So you go get that spraypaint, girl! I wanted to paint our dining room light, but dearest hubby is against it, so I'll have to go thrift one and paint that instead. He hates change, but eventually he comes around to my way of thinking!

    It's spray paint not diamonds who are a girls best friend!! This girl anyway. The milk glass shade will look adorable with a red base.

    Sandy love the lamp. I've seen that red chandy too. SO cute. I missed your post from your birthday. Happy Belated. I'm glad you're feeling better today. That must have been so hard losing both your parents so close together and at such a young age. I'm thinking positive thougtths a dn sending you hug!
