Who doesn’t remember a Dixie Cup?

I am happy it is the middle of the week!  That means it is Rednesday at Sue’s blog!

Today I am sharing some of my favorite items in my Dixie Cup Collection…..

Who doesn’t remember these fun little waxed primary cup colors?

And the bigger hot drink cups are just the most vivid colors!!!!

Look what the cups originally cost…

  2. Dixie Cups! Oh, what warm and fuzzy memories I have of those cute little containers!

    SEEING RED

A man who was out of his head
Was claiming he always saw red.
    He saw it all day,
    At work and at play,
And saw it at night while in bed.

  3. I can still feel the wax in my fingernails as I always scraped the cups. My best friend's family always used Dixie cups for drinks in the 60s...fun memories.

  5. I remember scraping the wax off of them. Remember the coffee cups with the flimsy paper "handles" that you pulled out from the sides?

  6. Hi Sandy!

Oh, I just love these little dixie cups! Where in the world did you find these, and so clean?
Come by for a visit, and see my memory jar filled with vintage goodies!

  7. Nice find. Do you remember those plastic cups that were put into a hard plastic holder and were meant for coffee? The disposible cup only fit into these coffee cup holders. Not sure if they were dixie though. I remember my mom used them when we went on vacation. I wish they still made them. Have a great weekend.

  8. Sandy,
I grew up near a Dixie Cup headquarters in Augusta, Georgia! I remember riding by the building...designed to look like a Giant 4 story cup..and always imagined it was like a swimming pool on top! It is owned by Solo now and you can see pictures by visiting www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/3285
This is my first visit to your blog and it is so colorful and delicious to the eyes and mind and fun for my memories!! Thanks xoxo Janie
