I love all of the outfits but the one in the lower left corner is my favorite! I would havee loved to see the whole magazine for that Month! February, 1954.
Take a look at the site and see what Betsy was doing the year and month you were born! Paper dolls....too much fun! :)
I remember Besty McCall paper dolls too. I had a box of paper dolls that I played with and it took precedence over baby dolls. Thank you for sharing this. Frances
Thank you so much for visitng my blog! I love the way you have designed your and we share many similiar interests. I went and found a Betsy McCall doll for my birth year but I have not finished turning it into a tag like Elizabeth did.
Sandy, I am so excited for you and your new floor to come! I love the Betsy for your year - remember culots! Loved, loved them! Too much fun, thank you for participating! May I ask how is it possible to have buttons on both sides of your blog. Also, May I link to your blog through your little cuckoo button? I love when more and more people find this most favorite place to be! Have a great day! Elizabeth
Back again Sandy, So sorry to pester, but you just have to meet Nan of Retired in Alaska on my side bar. I will keep you in suspense, but be prepared to have your socks knocked off both creatively and inspirationaly! E
Dear SIL - I love Betsy McCall. I played with paper dolls when I was a child, and she was one of my favorites; and she came FREE in my mom's magazine.

Sandy, that was fun! Betsy was having a tea party my month. That was a very interesting site. Thanks for the link. Have a great week! Twyla
ReplyDeleteI loved the Betsy McCall paper dolls. I don't have any old ones though, I always cut mine out.

What a nice reminder of playing with paper dolls...thanks for the sweet memory Dianne
ReplyDeleteThat was fun to check out - I like the dresses from my month (11/55), but as a tomboy I wouldn't have been caught dead in them!
